This band sat in the backgrounds of my youth. Whenever I hear one of their songs, I remember, "Oh yeah! I love these guys!" Today, I found out that Dan Peek passed away. Dan Peek was one of the co-founders of the band.

I remember long summers listening to the radio. Of their entire album list, the song the jumps out in my mind is Sister Goldenhair. I always wondered if he was singing about an actual sibling, or a figurative one. I love their music because it was easy to hear, soothing. Lonely People was also a favorite. I believe, however, that their most famous song (and I could be wrong) was Horse With No Name. Whatever song touched you the most, I'm certain that everyone could listen to their work and find a few songs that resonated with them.
These are some of the songs I grew up hearing. It's a walk down memory lane, and for some, it'll all be new. But, it's still relevant music and timeless. Best wishes and love to the Peek family, Dan will be sorely missed.
